An end to Oyster overcharging?

We’ve previously discussed that Oyster card users in Merton were overcharged by £1.2million last year.

With the maximum fare rising to £7.20 this year, we’re pleased to hear that Transport for London are developing new ideas to avoid this problem. One scheme apparently under consideration is ‘automatic journey complete’, which can complete a regular journey made by a user who fails to tap out.
