London Lib Dems have recently launched a campaign for better rail and tram stations. Wimbledon Liberal Democrats have joined forces with Lib Dem London Assembly Transport Spokesperson Caroline Pidgeon, who inspected railway land in Wimbledon Chase and Raynes Park in the Summer, to develop a 5 point plan for action to tackle issues surrounding rail stations.

Wimbledon, Raynes Park and Wimbledon Chase stations are often in a terrible condition. Many people have complained to us about the state of the stations and railway land. We’re working with Caroline to get real action to tackle the state of our local rail stations.

5 point plan for better stations.

1    Stations should be staffed when trains are running.
2    Stations should be deep-cleaned regularly.
3    We need a dedicated website/phone line to report problems at stations or on railway land.
4    All available station entrances must be kept open.
5    We need more investment to make stations fully accessible.
