One hour ticket success!

Not quite about cleaning up train land, but on a public transport theme – this week saw the London Assembly unanimously vote for a motion asking the Mayor to consider “one-hour bus tickets“. The tickets, a type used in many European cities, would mean passengers could change buses within 60 minutes without having to pay another fare.

The motion, proposed by Lib Dem London Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon,  was supported by thousands of Londoners who’d signed our London-wide petition. Hundreds of Wimbledon and Raynes Park residents had signed the petition at our local Lib Dem street stalls in Wimbledon and Raynes Park.
